Daily
we often visit dozens of different web
resources, including entertainment web
sites, news portals, various web services
etc. By the end of day you won’t be able
to simply remember all of them, let alone
recall all their addresses. Luckily,
FineBrowser allows you to place the burden
of remembering on your computer. All the web
pages you visited and somehow marked (or
example, by adding your personal comments to
them, or taking their snapshots) are stored
in the application’s database. Thanks to
this feature, you can always use the search
bookmarks functionality of FineBrowser to
easily access any of them.
In
addition, you can manually bookmark certain
links and create linkages for several
rubrics, which definitely makes categorizing
a great deal easier. The system will
automatically store the creation date and
the last view date of the bookmark. Besides,
a link can include your personal comments
and rating.

The
program also allows you to open all the web
pages included in a certain rubric at a time
with just a single mouse-click.

Clicking
the Bookmark Selected in FineBrowser menu
item will display a dialog window showing
the list of links to bookmark within the
selected area of the current web page. If
you untick a checkbox for a corresponding
web page, the page will not be added to the
Bookmarks Archive. On the screenshot below
this is link number 4
www.leobase.com/new/english/content/projects/sia/perspective.htm:

When
bookmarking multiple web pages, FineBrowser
provides a possibility to use common
comments, Rubricator links, and ratings for
them. Considering the example above, every
link will have a common comment
("Projects in the field of information
technologies") and included into the
Information technologies" rubric.
Hovering
the mouse over a Rubricator link will
display a pop-up hint providing the
link-related information (comments, rating,
last view date etc.).

This
feature enables you to view the link-related
information without having to create a link
list and loading the actual pages. Just move
your mouse over the corresponding links in
the Rubricator to view the information you
need.
Additionally,
the program provides a capability to utilize
templates to simplify the Bookmarks Archive
management. It’s very convenient to use
them for frequently used comments and
rubrics when bookmarking multiple web links.
In this case the user selects a
corresponding template and all the
bookmarked items are processed according to
the template settings.

On
the screenshot above all the bookmarked
links will be processed according to the
Template for new projects template. Thus,
every web page will be included into the New
Projects rubric, assigned the 4 rating, and
have the “Interesting software project”
comment. The program allows creating an
unlimited number of templates.
In
this way, these features of FineBrowser will
spare you the trouble of remembering any web
addresses and allow you to streamline your
bookmark archive management.
